If we find a decay in your tooth, or you have chipped/broken it. It may be that you will need to have it filled.
What we will do?
If it is a decay – we will remove the decay from the tooth until it is clean, and then fill it up with our great composite filling that matches your tooth colour. We find that all our patients adore the white fillings, however, we can still do amalgam (grey) fillings, if that is what you prefer.
There are usually two types of white (composite) filling:
Anterior – the front portion of the teeth. This will be a restoration and cosmetic procedure for you as will make sure to return the tooth back to it’s best form in terms of functionality, and then make sure it matches the colour of your other teeth.
Posterior – the back portion of your teeth. Usually these teeth are bigger and are mostly used for chewing. Therefore, we focus on making sure that the tooth’s function is restored completely. It is also still white in colour.
We pride ourselves in using the best materials here at Whangaparaoa Dental Centre, safe to use and of the highest quality.
